As another means of getting connected to the local security community as well as staying up on the latest trends and technologies in the field I have strated to attend local BSides conferences. I really enjoy the spirit behind BSides events and there is literally something for everyone at these events. It is a welcoming community and I am surprised just how much I take away from each event we attend and I cannot personally wait until the next opportunity to attend.
